A Niger Delta environmental Activist and ex – agitator of Niger Delta, Chief Comrade Frank Akiefa says the appointment of Dr Samuel Ogbokwe the Managing Director of Niger Delta Development Commission, NDDC creates no positive impact in the Niger Delta communities on signature projects cut across linking bridges, local communities intensive health care, education, portable drinking water, land reclamation, shore protection as the oil producing communities in the Niger Delta Region have been replaced for sharing of solar lights to friends and to share money with political allies.
The Niger Delta Activist challenge Dr Samuel Ogbokwe to point any signature projects the commission has executed under his management to transform the lives of Niger Delta people in their localities.
Chief Comrade Frank Akiefa when speaking with Today fm radio station correspondent still maintain that the appointment of Dr Samuel Ogbokwe to head the Niger Delta Development Commission NDDC by President Bola Ahmed Tinubu is a total regret and a waisted opportunity for the Niger Delta adding that Dr Samuel Ogbokwe has replaced the statutory function of the commission for banana peels achievements due to his political ambition in 2027.
Ex – agitator appeal to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and the federal government for the immediate sack of Dr Samuel Ogbokwe the MD of NDDC whose personal interest not in line with National agenda and abuse the federal government departmental plans through the federal agency to develop the Niger Delta region.
Chief Comrade Frank Akiefa further describes the appointment of Dr Samuel Ogbokwe as a wasted effort of the federal government to address the demands and the environmental challenges facing the oil producing communities in the Niger Delta Region.
The Niger Delta Activist condemns the celebration of Dr Samuel Ogbokwe birthday in seven states and abroad with public funds ment for the development of the Niger Delta oil producing communities describing it as a National and global gallivanting at the expense of the Niger Delta Region.
