The serene town of Abraka in Ethiope-East Local Government Area came alive as family members, friends, government officials, and well-wishers gathered to celebrate the life of Late Mrs. Onovwerosoke Samuel Ofobrukueta who passed to eternal glory at age 98 — a virtuous matriarch remembered for her compassion, wisdom, and unwavering devotion to family and community. Her funeral was not only a moment of mourning but also a reflection of a life beautifully lived in service to others.

Among the dignitaries present was the Executive Chairman of Bomadi Local Government Council, Hon. Dagidi Rawlings Andaye, accompanied by his elegant wife, Hon. (Mrs.) Rejoice Andaye. Their presence was a testament to their close bond with the Ofobrukueta family and their desire to honour the memory of a woman whose influence extended far beyond her immediate household. The deceased was the beloved mother of Hon. (Pharm.) Victor Ofobrukueta, the immediate past Chairman of Ethiope-East Local Government Council and a trusted friend and brother to Hon. Andaye.

In his tribute, Hon. Andaye described the late Mrs. Ofobrukueta as a woman of rare strength and integrity whose faith and dedication shaped her children into responsible and accomplished individuals. He noted that her exemplary lifestyle continues to inspire all who knew her, emphasizing that Mama’s legacy of love, discipline, and humility will forever remain a guiding light.

The large turnout of dignitaries and sympathizers underscored the depth of Mama’s impact and the admiration she commanded within her community. Though her passing leaves a deep void, her life serves as a reminder of the power of kindness, faith, and service to humanity.
