Hon. Dagidi Shines: Bags Multiple awards as Nigeria’s most performing Council Chairman
ABUJA – The Executive Chairman of Bomadi Local Government Council, Hon. Dagidi Rawlings Andaye, was yesterday honored with the prestigious Nigeria Local Government Chairman of the Year 2025 Award by Times Africa Magazine. The recognition celebrates his unwavering dedication to grassroots governance, exemplary public service, and the comprehensive development of Bomadi Local Government Area across all sectors.
The award presentation ceremony, held at the Nigeria National Merit House, Abuja, formed a key highlight of the “Who’s Who Africa Awards 2025”, an event that celebrated distinguished personalities who have excelled remarkably in various fields. Hon. Andaye emerged as the leading honoree of the evening.
In addition, the Executive Chairman received an Award of Excellence as an Icon of Societal Transformation from the National Association of Nigerian Students (NANS), National Headquarters. The award recognizes his impactful contributions to youth empowerment, humanitarian initiatives, and educational advancement.
In his acceptance speech, Hon. Andaye stated:
“I remain deeply humbled by these recognitions and do not take them for granted. Instead, they serve as a renewed call to duty, inspiring me to work even harder in delivering the true dividends of democracy to our people. I dedicate these awards first to God Almighty, to my dear wife for her unwavering support, and to my boss, the Executive Governor of Delta State, Rt. Hon. Sheriff Oborevwori, whose visionary leadership continues to guide my efforts. Ultimately, I wholeheartedly dedicate these honors to all Bomadians for their steadfast support and confidence in our administration.”
The ceremony was graced by several notable Ijaw leaders, including Hon. Nicholas Ebomo Mutu, Member representing Bomadi/Burutu Federal Constituency; Dr. Braduce Amakazi, Hon. Michael Seikegba, Hon. Preye Okaba, among others.
