Announcement of the Forthcoming National Election of the Ijaw National Congress (INC)
The INC National Electoral Committee calls on all Ijaw sons and daughters to participate in our upcoming national elections to help shape the future of Ijaw Nation as follows:
ELECTION TIMELINE (March 2026)
- Collection of Nomination Forms: 12th – 26th Jan 2026
- Campaign: 12th January – 6th March, 2026
- Return of Completed Nomination Forms: 10th February, 2026
- National Convention Delegate Lists: Submission at Ijaw House, Yenagoa – 14th February, 2026
- Claims and Objections of Delegate Lists: 16th – 18th February 2026
- Publication of Delegate Lists: 20th – 21st February, 2026 at Ijaw House, Yenagoa
- Screening of Candidates: 19th – 21st February, 2026 at Ijaw House
- E-Voting System Test run: 3rd/4th March, 2026
- Election Day: 7th March 2026, Ijaw House, Yenagoa
KEY EVENTS:
- Non-elective Convention/Presentation of Manifestos by cleared candidates at Yenagoa by 4 PM – 6th March, 2026
- Election Day & Announcement of Results : – 7th March, 2026
