ANDAYE JOINS PROGRESSIVE COUNCIL CHAIRMEN ON NATIONAL COURTESY VISIT, REAFFIRMS GRASSROOTS COMMITMENT TO RENEWED HOPE AGENDA
ABUJA – The Executive Chairman of Bomadi Local Government Council and Deputy Chairman (South) of the Progressive Local Government Council Chairmen Forum, Hon. Dagidi Rawlings Andaye, on Wednesday, 29th July, 2026, joined the National Chairman of the Forum, Dr. Mustapha Jibrin Alheri, Executive Chairman of Minna Local Government Area of Niger State, alongside fellow Progressive Council Chairmen on a courtesy visit to the National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Prof. Nentawe Yilwatda Goshwe, and members of the National Working Committee (NWC) at the Partyโs National Secretariat in Abuja.
The high-level engagement served as a strategic platform to deepen the relationship between the partyโs national leadership and elected local government administrators across the country. It also reaffirmed the collective commitment of the Progressive Council Chairmen Forum to the ideals, vision, and progressive philosophy of the All Progressives Congress as the party continues to consolidate its grassroots structures nationwide.
Speaking during the visit, Hon. Dagidi Rawlings Andaye appreciated the National Chairman of the APC, Prof. Nentawe Yilwatda Goshwe, for his steadfastness, visionary leadership, and unwavering commitment to strengthening the party. He assured the party leadership of the unalloyed loyalty and support of the Progressive Council Chairmen, emphasizing that they would continue to mobilize at the grassroots to ensure resounding victories for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, their respective State Governors, and all candidates of the APC in the 2027 General Elections.
The Forum also expressed profound appreciation to His Excellency, President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, GCFR, for the bold reforms and people-oriented policies being implemented under the Renewed Hope Agenda. They noted that the administrationโs transformative initiatives are laying a solid foundation for sustainable national development and pledged to complement the Presidentโs efforts by delivering impactful governance at the grassroots level.
In his response, the National Chairman of the APC, Prof. Nentawe Yilwatda Goshwe, commended the Progressive Local Government Council Chairmen Forum for its unity, dedication, and commitment to the growth of the party. He charged the council chairmen to remain steadfast in taking the Renewed Hope message to every community, stressing that local governments remain the closest tier of government to the people and play a critical role in translating the partyโs vision into tangible benefits for the masses.
The visit further underscored the strategic role of local government leadership in strengthening the APC ahead of the 2027 General Elections, while reinforcing the partyโs resolve to sustain good governance, expand grassroots participation, and consolidate its political dominance across the federation.
