DELTA IS FLOWING WITH MILK AND HONEY DUE TO GOVERNOR OBOREVWORI’S INFRASTRUCTURE REVOLUTION — SJST
The Sheriff Junior Support Team, SJST, has said that Delta State is experiencing an era of prosperity because Governor Rt. Hon. Sheriff Oborevwori has transformed the state into a land flowing with milk and honey through massive infrastructure development and people-oriented policies.
In a statement made available to newsmen in Oviorie on Monday, the group noted that the Governor’s MORE Agenda has brought visible development, jobs, and hope to communities across the 25 Local Government Areas of the state.
The Convener and National Coordinator of SJST, Comr. Matthew Obukohwo Obriki, who also serves as the Special Assistant on Media to the Executive Governor of Delta State, said Deltans are already feeling the impact of good governance.
“Governor Sheriff Oborevwori has turned Delta into a huge construction site and a land of opportunities. Today, our roads are opening, our flyovers are rising, our hospitals and schools are being rehabilitated, and our youths and women are being empowered. This is milk and honey governance — governance that the people can see and touch,” Comr. Obriki stated.
He listed some of the achievements to include: the construction of flyovers in Warri, Effurun, Ughellli, Agbor, and Asaba to ease traffic; dualization and rehabilitation of critical roads across Delta Central, Delta North and Delta South; rural road projects linking farming communities to markets; the Asaba and Warri waterfront projects; upgrading of General Hospitals and Primary Healthcare Centres in all 25 LGAs; recruitment of health workers and teachers; prompt payment of bursaries to Delta students; and skills acquisition grants under the D-CARES and Delta CARES programmes.
Comr. Obriki added that SJST, with structures in all 270 wards, has been on ground to sensitize, mobilize and monitor the delivery of the MORE Agenda at the grassroots.
“SJST can attest that the era of abandoned projects is over. What we have today is a Governor who is committed to leaving Delta better than he met it. That is why Delta is shining and flowing with milk and honey,” he said.
The group called on Deltans to continue to support President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, Governor Sheriff Oborevwori, and all APC candidates for Senate, House of Representatives, House of Assembly, and the entire APC structure ahead of the 2027 general elections.
“2027 is about continuity and consolidation. We must protect this season of milk and honey and ensure that the MORE Agenda continues to deliver more dividends of democracy to our people,” the statement added.
SJST prayed for God’s wisdom, strength and protection upon the Governor as he continues to steer the affairs of Delta State.
