Dr. Pedro Bekenawei Storms Home Town Kokodiagbene as he Emerges NDC Candidate for Warri Federal Constituency for a Thank You Visit Ahead of 2027 General Elections

Following his emergence as the candidate of the Nigeria Democratic Congress (NDC) Party for Warri Federal Constituency House of Representatives in the forthcoming 2027 general elections across Nigeria, Chief (Dr.) Pedro Tuwayerin Bekenawei, on Wednesday 12 August, 2026 stormed his home Town Kokodiagbene Community in Gbaramatu Kingdom, Warri South-West Local Government Area of Delta State in order to thank and appreciate his people for their support, especially the grassroots who stood by him before, during and after the party primaries.

His home coming could be described as the coming of the Messiah to Canaan land in Jerusalem where the land was healed and delivered for greatness and prosperity for the advancement of the people by the saviour Jesus Christ.

Dr. Bekenawei was accompanied by the 2027 NDC Senatorial candidate for Delta South Senatorial District, Chief. Adowei Freedom Binaebi, the candidate for NDC Burutu North Constituency, Capt. Presley Prebor, the Delta South Senatorial Chairman of the party, the various NDC State House of Assembly candidates for Warri South Constituency 1/ll, Warri South-West Constituency 1/ll and Warri North Constituency 1/ll respectively. Others include; the various LGAs and Ward Chairmen, critical stakeholders, women and youth leaders of the party among other teeming supporters across the Warri Federal Constituency.

Landing at the Kokodiagbene soil, Bekenawei and his entourage was first received and given a befitting rousing welcome in accordance to the ljaw tradition by Comrade Ark Selegha led community executives at the Town Hall before proceeding to the main venue for the grand reception.

It would be recalled that Dr. Bekenawei was the immediate past Chairman of the oil rich Kokodiagbene Community who remains a prominent figure in the community in particular, and Gbaramatu Kingdom as a whole due to his impactful and people- oriented leadership.

There is no doubt that his ambition to serve the good people of Warri Federal Constituency in the National Assembly Abuja is a clarion call by the people to enable him continue his good leadership style at the National level in nation building.

Addressing the people during the gathering, Bekenawei first give God the glory for finding him worthy to represent his people through the fastest growing most formidable opposition party in Nigeria at the National Assembly in order to bring meaningful development to the grassroots come 2027.

He noted that today’s gathering is not for political campaign but rather he has come to specifically thank and appreciate them for their unalloyed support in prayers, ideas and otherwise to ensure his emergence as the candidate of the NDC for the race of House of Representatives in Warri Federal Constituency.

However, Dr. Bekenawei urged party faithfuls and his teeming supporters to go their wards to register and collect their voters card with lNEC, adding that without their permanent voters cards (PVCs), the positive change they are clamouring for cannot be achieved.
