Sen. Joel Onowakpo Thomas, Joins Dignitaries as Bomadi LG Chairman Marks One Year in Office, Commissions 14 Mega Projects

Thursday marked his one year in office with a grand celebration that drew top political figures, community leaders, and stakeholders from across Delta State. The occasion, held at Council Secretariat, Bomadi Town, featured the commissioning of 14 completed mega projects, aimed at transforming infrastructure and boosting socio-economic development in the council area.
Senator Joel Onowakpo Thomas, representing Delta South Senatorial District, was heavily represented at the event by Chief Mike Seikegba (JP), who joined the Delta State Deputy Governor, Sir Monday Onyeme, Senator James Manager, and other dignitaries in commending the remarkable progress achieved within just one year of Hon. Andaye’s leadership.
Speaking on behalf of Senator Onowakpo, Chief Mike Seikegba applauded the council chairman for what he described as “a performance worthy of emulation,” noting that the projects reflect prudent management of resources and a clear vision for grassroots development.

According to him, financial independence at the council level would not only fast-track infrastructural development but also ensure that more impactful projects are initiated and completed to meet the needs of the people.
The event also witnessed cultural performances, goodwill messages from traditional rulers, and expressions of solidarity from political allies and community members, all of whom pledged continued support for the administration’s developmental agenda. Hon. Andaye, in his speech, thanked the Governor Sheriff Oborevwori and good people of Bomadi for their trust and promised to consolidate on the achievements recorded so far in the remaining years of his tenure.
