Being Chairman Won’t Affect My Relationship with Bomadians – Dagidi

The Executive Chairman of Bomadi Local Government Council, Hon. Dagidi Rawlings Andaye, has assured that his close relationship with the grassroots and the common man will remain unchanged despite his meteoric rise to the position of Executive Chairman.

He gave the assurance on Friday during his one-year-in-office thanksgiving anniversary service at the Local Government Chapel, Bomadi, Delta State.

Hon. Dagidi said:

“I want to start by thanking all of you who have come to celebrate with me. Your presence means a lot to me. I urge everyone to be patient — more development will come to our Local Government. I sincerely thank all our leaders for their show of support and love towards me.”

Expressing deep gratitude to God for his journey so far, the Council Chairman said:

“With immense joy, I have come here today to give thanks to God for His goodness, faithfulness, sustaining grace, and blessings over my life. By divine orchestration, I found myself executing 14 mega projects for our people, which the Executive Governor of Delta State, Rt. Hon. Elder Sheriff F.O. Oborevwori, graciously came to commission. I am here to return all the glory to God.

I have every reason to enter His sanctuary to give Him praise because I am who I am today purely by the grace of God. Looking back at my life’s journey, I can see that God’s hand has been upon me, even when I did not know or acknowledge Him.”

Hon. Dagidi further appreciated his spiritual father, Pastor David Ibiyeomie, for his guidance over the years, noting that the pastor’s presence was felt through his representatives. He also expressed gratitude to his predecessors, political leaders across the local government, and party stakeholders for their unwavering support.

“My thanks go to the State Pastor, the Resident Pastor, and their team for their love and support, and for graciously accepting to hold this special thanksgiving service. I also appreciate my predecessors, party leaders, and stakeholders whom God used to make me the Executive Chairman of Bomadi Local Government Council. I assure you that we shall make good use of this mandate to the glory of God and for the good of our local government,” he added.

The sermon, titled “Thanksgiving: An Application for More”, was delivered by Pastor Diriyai Ebizimor, who represented Pastor David Ibiyeomie. He underscored the importance of gratitude and commended the Chairman for initiating 14 mega projects within just one year in office, urging him to continue serving and trusting God as his source.

Dignitaries in attendance included Hon. New-World Safugha (E.A. to the Governor of Delta State), Hon. [Dr] Deinghan Ray Macauley, JP (E.A. [Political] to the Governor of Delta State), Hon. Prince Opuofoni (Former PDP Chairman, Bomadi LGA), Hon. Tam Obriki (APC Chieftain), High Chief Barr. Mike Loyibo (APC Chieftain), Hon. Kayode Tinaka (APC Chairman, Bomadi LGA), among others.
