Fubara hijack APC Primaries, while Wike Adopts SDP For Rivers Assembly Bye-Election
FCT Minister, Nyesom Wike has directed his supporters to contest the forthcoming Rivers Assembly bye-elections in Ahoada-East Constituency II and Khana Constituency II on the platform of Social Democratic Party (SDP).
This is coming after Gov Siminalayi Fubara reported hijacked the ongoing APC primaries to replace the vacant seats of lawmakers in the Rivers State House of Assembly. Primaries for delegates held on 25th January 2026, and party primaries are scheduled for today 26th January 2026.
