The Commissioner for Local Government and Chieftancy Affairs, Hon. Prince Kelly Kalanama Penaowou and his grassroot support base; Kelly Penaowou Ambassadors for Shariff 2027, popularly known as KPA 2027 has declared firm support on President, Bola Ahmed Tinubu and Governor Sheriff Oborevwori in the forthcoming general elections
Addressing members of the KPA 2027, he noted that, the political reality in Delta State today is completely different from what was obtainable in 2023. Stressing that, the massive infrastructural development taking place across every local government has won the hearts of the people and weakened the grip of the opposition parties
Kelly Penaowou argued that, the people at the grassroot is very pleased with the current administration of the state. Because, they can see and feel the tangible projects, the roads, the schools, the bridges across our communities. Therefore, he is confident that, the overwhelming acceptance of the people will translate into votes in 2027 general elections,”
Penawou, emphasized that, Delta State has every reason to remain aligned with the central on the ‘Renewed Hope Agenda’ of President, Tinubu, noting that the state has already benefited from the central in the area of key federal appointments and federal interventions.
Not forgetting that, as a state we are already enjoying the benefits of having the President of the Federal Republic, as our dear in-law. So our votes must be preserved for him and the Governor. By the grace of God Delta State is peaceful all thanks to our working Governor, Rt Hon Sheriff Oborevwori. ‘I equally, commensurate with the families of the Oyo State terror victims, families of the children that are held captive in Forrest and the Nigerian Union of teachers, NUT, for this trying time’ he added.
The Commissioner, described the Governor as a leader who has brought governance closer to the people through citizens engagements on policy formulations and grassroot orientated appointments as it relates to development and political Mobilization
Reflecting on his own political journey, he noted that, he remains, committed to grassroots mobilization and service to the people. ‘As a grassroot politician, I have served as a three-time Chairman of Bomadi Local Government Area, a two-term Special Adviser, and now Commissioner for Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs.
