PRESS STATEMENT
ONDO STATE YOUTH DEMAND DECENTRALISATION OF PIPELINE SURVEILLANCE CONTRACT
We, the members of the Coalition of Ilaje/Ese Odo Youth Movement, urgently call on President Bola Ahmed Tinubu to decentralize the pipeline surveillance contract awarded to High Chief Government Ekpemopolo, popularly called Tompolo. This move is imperative for promoting lasting peace, unity and development in the Niger Delta region and Nigeria as a whole.
The current arrangement has sparked concerns of anarchy, confusion and conflict among other generals in the Delta region. We support the agitation of Snr High Chief Bibopere Ajube, General Boyloaf and King Ateke Tom, who seek collective interest and benefits for the Niger Delta.
We plead with President Tinubu to split the contract among the nine Niger Delta states, to create massive employment opportunities and promoting regional development.
We pray for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s wisdom and guidance in piloting Nigeria’s affairs and creating peace in the Niger Delta Region.
