Ojobo Youths Hail Takeme for Restoring Peace to the Community.

‎Burutu_______________ The youths of Ojobo Community have commended the Executive Chairman of Burutu Local Government Area, Hon. Chief Dr. Julius Takeme (JP), for restoring peace and stability to the community following a period of tension and insecurity.
‎
‎The commendation was made at the Ojobo Community Hall, where the youths met with the council chairman who was in the community attending to community matters.
‎
‎Speaking on behalf of the youths, Comrade Miller expressed appreciation for the chairman’s efforts in restoring peace, noting that the people of Ojobo, particularly the young and old , had lived in fear of possible attacks before the intervention.
‎
‎He said the return of peace has brought relief to the community, adding that the youths remain grateful for the chairman’s commitment and sacrifices toward ensuring the safety of lives and property.
‎
‎”We the youth of Ojobo community are tired of the constant crisis during times of community elections, this is not the first time, I must confess that since I was born, , this was the most severe crisis the community has ever witnessed,” he stated, while expressing gratitude for the chairman’s commitment and sacrifices in securing lives and property.

The youths also appealed to the chairman to intervene on their behalf and reach out to any community leader who may have been offended in the course of the crisis, urging that old grievances be set aside in the interest of unity. They stressed that as one people bound by a common heritage, forgiveness and reconciliation must take precedence over division, and called on all parties to embrace peace for the collective progress of Ojobo Community.

‎Responding, the council chairman thanked the youths for the show of concern and reaffirmed that protection of lives and property remains one of the core responsibilities of government hence the concern of the state and local government in restoring the peace in Ojobo.
‎
‎He stressed that sustainable development can only thrive in a peaceful environment and urged the youths to shun actions capable of creating tension or triggering fresh crises in the community.
