NDC Primary Election for Warri Federal Constituency: Peace Ambassadors Congratulate Sheriff Mulade on Resounding Victory

The Warri Peace Ambassadors, a foremost socio-political pressure group in Delta State, has congratulated House of Representatives aspirant for the Warri Federal Constituency, Chief (Comrade) Sheriff Mulade, PhD, following his overwhelming victory at the Nigeria Democratic Congress (NDC) primary election held today, pending official declaration by the party.
In a congratulatory message jointly signed by the President and Secretary of the group, Mrs. Tessy Oki and Comrade Friday Ugedi respectively, the group described Mulade’s impressive performance across the field as a clear testament to the wide acceptance, trust, and confidence reposed in him by the people of Warri Federal Constituency.
The group further called for unity, peaceful coexistence, and collective progress among the three major ethnic nationalities in the constituency the Ijaw, Itsekiri, and Urhobo stressing that the outcome of the primary election reflects the people’s desire for inclusive leadership and grassroots-oriented representation.
According to the statement, the Warri Peace Ambassadors had carefully assessed the credentials, leadership qualities, and longstanding contributions of all contenders in the race before openly supporting Chief Sheriff Mulade’s aspiration.
“Our decision to identify with and support Chief Sheriff Mulade is rooted in his years of selfless grassroots advocacy, peacebuilding efforts, and unwavering commitment to the development of Warri Federal Constituency and beyond.
His antecedents remain outstanding, while his accessibility and connection with ordinary people continue to distinguish him as a true servant-leader,” the group stated.
The group further noted that Mulade’s reputation as a United Nations Peace Ambassador and bridge-builder has over the years promoted harmony and unity among diverse ethnic groups within the constituency through sports development, education, youth empowerment, and conflict resolution initiatives.
“Chief Sheriff Mulade stands for peaceful coexistence among the Ijaw, Itsekiri, and Urhobo ethnic nationalities. He has consistently demonstrated uncommon leadership capacity and commitment to the unity and progress of the people,” the statement added.
The Warri Peace Ambassadors therefore urged all faithfuls, delegates, supporters, and stakeholders of the Nigeria Democratic Congress (NDC) to remain united and rally behind Chief Sheriff Mulade as the party prepares for the next phase of the electoral process.
The group expressed optimism that Mulade’s emergence would usher in quality representation, people-centered governance, and accelerated development across the Warri Federal Constituency.
