Breaking News: Wike Declares: No Rivers Person Will Vote Against Tinubu in 2027
Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, Nyesom Wike, has made a bold declaration that Rivers State will deliver massive and undivided support for President Bola Tinubu’s re-election bid in 2027, insisting that no indigene of the state will vote against the President.
Speaking on Saturday during a luncheon organised by the Rainbow Coalition in Port Harcourt, Wike said Rivers State has no choice but to back Tinubu due to the unprecedented federal appointments and developmental projects the state has received under his administration.
“President Tinubu has shown so much appreciation to Rivers people. We have no choice but to continue supporting him,” Wike stated emphatically.
The former Rivers State Governor urged residents to compare the benefits Rivers State has enjoyed in less than three years under Tinubu with what was received under previous administrations, stressing that political loyalty should be based on performance rather than ethnic or sectional considerations.
Wike further assured that President Tinubu’s victory in Rivers State is already secured, calling on his supporters and the Rainbow Coalition to embark on aggressive grassroots mobilisation through initiatives such as “Operation Deliver Your Polling Unit” and “Operation Deliver Your Vote.”
He maintained that there is no alternative candidate for Rivers people in 2027, adding that the door is firmly shut against any other presidential aspirant.
The statement comes amid ongoing political realignments in Rivers State, with Wike’s camp continuing to position itself as a strong pillar of support for the Tinubu administration despite tensions with Governor Siminalayi Fubara.
Political observers note that Wike’s latest remarks reinforce his long-standing commitment to delivering Rivers State for the President, describing the state as Tinubu territory ahead of the next general elections.
